Our Savior Parish & USC Caruso Catholic Center appoints Martha Tapias Mansfield as Director of Advancement
LOS ANGELES, CA - Our Savior Parish & USC Caruso Catholic Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Martha Tapias Mansfield as its Director of Advancement, effective January 21, 2026.
“Martha is deeply committed to mission-driven work in both her professional and volunteer life,” said Fr. Matthew Wheeler. “Her Catholic faith, deep ties to the USC community, and devotion to student success speak to our vision for the Caruso Catholic Center as a home away from home—where students are received with love and invited to grow in their faith. Combined with her skills and experience, these qualities make her a great fit.”
With extensive experience in fundraising, donor relations, and organizational leadership, Martha brings a strong and thoughtful approach to her work. In her new capacity, she will oversee development strategy, donor engagement, and fundraising initiatives to help ensure the USC Caruso Catholic Center remains a vibrant spiritual home for USC students for generations to come. Martha joins Rose Ramirez, our longtime donor relations leader, building on her many years of dedicated service to the Trojan Catholic community. Rose warmly welcomes Martha and is excited to work together as part of the advancement team.
“It feels like coming home,” said Martha. “As a fellow Trojan, and after 11 rewarding years serving the academic mission of USC, it is a true honor to begin this next chapter at Our Savior Parish & USC Caruso Catholic Center.”
Prior to her appointment, Martha served as Senior Director of Advancement at USC. Before her career in higher education, she was a successful media and entertainment professional, holding senior leadership roles at Univision, NBCUniversal, the Los Angeles Times, Telemundo, and Fox Sports.
In her capacity as a volunteer, Martha served as president of the USC Latino Alumni Association. She remains actively engaged in civic and faith-based organizations and currently serves on the boards of the Manhattan Beach Rotary Club, the Roundhouse Aquarium, and the Saint Sebastian Sports Project. She is deeply committed to supporting first-generation students and is a strong advocate for college access.
Martha is married and a proud mother of three children—two of whom are also Trojans.
Fr. Matthew Wheeler added, “I am excited to welcome Martha to the USC Caruso Catholic Center’s leadership team and am confident that her faith, experience, and love for USC will greatly advance the mission of the Parish and Center.”
