Session 1 — Relationship with God

College hands you a lot of relationships to figure out at once: roommates, friend groups, situationships, and the one with yourself you're still sorting through.

This year, Bethany Brunch is dedicating a whole season to exploring them all, starting with the one underneath everything else: your relationship with God.

We're kicking off October 4th with good food, honest conversation, and a charm bracelet making station, because something beautifully made is a pretty fitting way to talk about being beautifully made yourself. Come with a friend, or come make one!

We’re excited to announce Hispanic Heritage Night is coming to the CC on September 27th,

We’ll begin with a bilingual Mass at 5PM, followed by a lively celebration of Hispanic culture featuring music, dancing, and delicious traditional food. Come experience the joy and traditions that make this night so special. No RSVP needed! Everyone is welcome, so invite your friends, and we’ll see you there!

Calling all USC students in Greek life!

Join us for our first Greek Mass of the year on Tuesday, September 15th at ZBT's front lawn. Confession starts at 6PM, Mass begins promptly at 6:30PM, with ice cream to follow. Bring a friend and get plugged in with other Catholic Greek students, we can't wait to see you there!

A special lecture on humanities education at USC, co-sponsored by Thematic Option and Nova Forum. Professor Jason Baehr (Philosophy, Loyola Marymount University), a leading authority on intellectual virtues in higher education, will speak on renewing the humanities through the cultivation of intellectual character. Dinner provided, all are welcome!

Join us for Nova Forum's first seminar of the year! What is friendship, and what does it add to human life? Can it be defined, or only lived? We'll consider Aristotle's famous definition before turning to Catholic novelist J.R.R. Tolkien to examine a great friendship in action. Learn more and access readings at novaforum.org.

Planning on volunteering with the CC? Then you'll need to be VIRTUS-trained!

VIRTUS is a safe-environment program that teaches adults how to recognize and prevent abuse, helping us keep the youth, elderly, and other vulnerable people we serve safe. Once certified, you're covered for four years.

Calling all grad students! Join us for our first event of the year at our Grad Happy Hour on Friday, September 11th at 6pm in Newman Hall. This is your time to mingle, relax, and get connected with your fellow grads. See you there!

Freshmen, join us for Freshman Field Day on Wednesday, September 9 at 6:30pm at the USC Village Lawn. We'll have Spikeball, soccer, and plenty of other games going, so come ready to laugh, meet new people, and have a great time. No RSVP needed, just show up! Join us for The Encounter, a one-day experience for new Freshmen and Transfer students at USC. Meet the Catholic community through engaging social activities, build friendships with upperclassmen, and encounter Christ through joyful and fun activities at the Caruso Catholic Center.

Just moved in and looking for something to do and people to meet? Join us for our Bonfire on August 20th from 6-8pm in the CC Courtyard! Come meet fellow Trojan Catholics and get connected with the Catholic Center before classes begin.

No need to RSVP, just drop in any or all nights and join the fun!

Stop by the Catholic Center courtyard for a tour of the center and church, and pick up your free welcome packet and swag. Join us for Mass at 12:10PM, and we'll be out in the courtyard from then until 8PM. Come whenever works for your schedule!

Join us for an evening of faith, fellowship, and Trojan spirit!

The evening will begin with a special Young Alumni Mass at 5 PM, presided over by Fr. Matt Wheeler ’10, followed by a reception and dinner in the courtyard. We’re excited to welcome USC Football General Manager Chad Bowden, who will be joining us. We will also have the honor of welcoming USC alumna Jacqueline Sarkissian ’11 as our Master of Ceremonies for the evening.
