Holy week 2020

Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday

Today we commemorate the triumphant entry of Our Savior into the city of Jerusalem. As Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem on the back of a donkey, people greeted him waving palms and exclaiming "Hosanna in the highest." This is an entrance befitting a king. May we be reminded that Christ is our king and ultimately triumphs over all, especially during times like these.

Holy Thursday

Holy Thursday

Today we commemorate the Last Supper, the evening that our Savior instituted the Eucharistic Sacrifice of his Body and Blood. Usually, in keeping with ancient Catholic Tradition, we would process the Holy Eucharist out of the church into an altar of repose. Today, Father will solemnly and silently return the Blessed Sacrament to the tabernacle, thus concluding the mass.

Good Friday

Good Friday

According to the church's ancient tradition, we do not celebrate mass on Good Friday. This day, we celebrate the Passion of our Lord and venerate His cross. At a point in today's prayer service, you will have an opportunity to virtually venerate and show reverence to the cross in a manner you feel most comfortable.

Holy Saturday

Holy Saturday

On Earth, we mourn the death of Jesus. But it is during Holy Saturday that the Lord descended into hell to free those holy souls who had died before hearing the message of salvation.

Easter Vigil

Tonight marks the pinnacle of the Church’s liturgical year. The Lord has conquered death and is risen. Alleluia!
